Only I could be this weird ;-)

I had a colonoscopy on October 26, 2021. Although the doctor told me that everything was fine. I did see something that I consider strange. It showed a couple of things. One, that my doctor is a whiner. Second, that my body has a mind of it's own - and doesn't act like a normal/average body.

Part of the report that I was given in 'My Chart,' it read:

The colonoscopy was technically difficult and complex due to a redundant colon, significant looping and a tortuous colon. Successful completion of the procedure was aided by using manual pressure, withdrawing and reinserting the scope, straightening and shortening the scope to obtain bowel loop reduction and using scope torsion.

Being curious, I Googled 'Tortuous colon.' I found the following:

A Redundant Colon or a 'Tortuous colon' is a congenital abnormality of the intestines such that the colon is longer than what is considered normal. Though not necessarily dangerous, it is usually diagnosed as a result of a colonoscopy and may make it a more difficult procedure.

Hopefully it remains nothing but a strange anomaly.

My kidney procedure

I had a surgical procedure performed August 11, 2021.  The doctor told me the technical name - but I have forgotten it.  They removed some stones (with a total of calculi mass of 57 mg.  Speciman consists of numerous various sized (1 mm to 9 mm), brown/tan, irrefular calculi fragments comprised primarily of calcium oxalate monohydrate.  One of the things that I have said numerous times was that, when I’m coming out of anesthesia, the medical personal want me to new at least 1 step beyond where I want to be.  When I’m first waking up I wish I was still asleep.  When I then decide it’s time to be awake, they want me to sit up.  When I then decide it’s time to sit up, they want me to breath into an apparatus.  And so forth.  However, this time I seemed to wake up on my own.  Also, since I felt like I had to urinate, I was eager to stand up and go into the restroom.  They had offered me a bedpan - but I didn’t feel that this was an option.  Another thing that was unexpected is that they put a stent in both ureters (instead of just the left one).  One of the things that the stent causes is bladder spasms.  They gave me prescriptions for something to relieve bladder spasms, something usually used for enlarged prostrate (but sometimes used for kidney stones), a laxitive (which may turn my urine redish brown) to be used because straning to have a bowel movement can be problematic, and 5 oxycodone tablets for the pain.  One of the things that I have down because of the limited amount of the prescription pain killers, I have had to revert to the NSAIDs that they told me to stop.  I’m trying to use them as little as possible.  Hopefully this turns out successful.  One of the things that Dr. Hamilton said was that part of the resons for this procedure was to see if I needed a more extensive surgery.  I’ve wondered for quite some time if I’ve had something systemic (possibly MS or Lupus) that’s causing me to have all these strange varied symptoms (CRVO, heart murmur, kidney problems, etc.). If I do have something systemic, I hope they find it.

Coming Back

Haven't looked at this for a LONG time.  Although, if my energy/motivation for blogging is waning instead of waxing, I am thinking of starting it up again.

One of the things that would be interesting to me, so motivational, concerns my chickens.

I'm going to see how well this goes!🤞

Motivation - small steps

I’ve found it difficult to maintain a regular schedule for updating my blog.  I’m trying to set up a schedule - including it with my other scheduled activities.  ðŸ“…

Still trying to change over from my writing  on my blog on my phone to working on it on my I-pad - however there are some glitches (so I’m trying to work with both.

So much for looking professional - maybe with practice.💻
