I had a surgical procedure performed August 11, 2021. The doctor told me the technical name - but I have forgotten it. They removed some stones (with a total of calculi mass of 57 mg. Speciman consists of numerous various sized (1 mm to 9 mm), brown/tan, irrefular calculi fragments comprised primarily of calcium oxalate monohydrate. One of the things that I have said numerous times was that, when I’m coming out of anesthesia, the medical personal want me to new at least 1 step beyond where I want to be. When I’m first waking up I wish I was still asleep. When I then decide it’s time to be awake, they want me to sit up. When I then decide it’s time to sit up, they want me to breath into an apparatus. And so forth. However, this time I seemed to wake up on my own. Also, since I felt like I had to urinate, I was eager to stand up and go into the restroom. They had offered me a bedpan - but I didn’t feel that this was an option. Another thing that was unexpected is that they put a stent in both ureters (instead of just the left one). One of the things that the stent causes is bladder spasms. They gave me prescriptions for something to relieve bladder spasms, something usually used for enlarged prostrate (but sometimes used for kidney stones), a laxitive (which may turn my urine redish brown) to be used because straning to have a bowel movement can be problematic, and 5 oxycodone tablets for the pain. One of the things that I have down because of the limited amount of the prescription pain killers, I have had to revert to the NSAIDs that they told me to stop. I’m trying to use them as little as possible. Hopefully this turns out successful. One of the things that Dr. Hamilton said was that part of the resons for this procedure was to see if I needed a more extensive surgery. I’ve wondered for quite some time if I’ve had something systemic (possibly MS or Lupus) that’s causing me to have all these strange varied symptoms (CRVO, heart murmur, kidney problems, etc.). If I do have something systemic, I hope they find it.
